A Sufi Saint is a mystique. They are saints, full with Godly experience, but it is very difficult to find a Sufi. Why? Because they do not reveal themselves. They live a very quiet and peaceful life. They can move from place to place. You might be working with a Sufi day and night for tens of years and you won't know a bit about him being a Sufi. That's the deal. The reason why they don't reveal them is simple, they do not want "crowd" to worship them. Because they have nothing to offer the "crowd" and the "crowd" would benefit with nothing even if it is in contact with a Sufi. So, it's a both-way-loss kinda business.
Only a worthy person can find a Sufi, and to be more precise, the "worthy" to be a disciple would not be able to actually find him, the Sufi himself will find the worthy disciple.
In a discourse, Osho revealed some strange facts about Sufi Saints. A great Chinese philosopher, writer and founder of Taoism, Lao Tzu, hearing about Sufi Saints, wanted to meet one. He was told that it is impossible to find one, but if you are a worthy person he himself will find you. He went to some country in the Middle East and asked a person about how to find a Sufi Saint. He told Lao Tzu to pray in a religious place and the Sufi will find you. He prayed from morning to evening and until next day and did the same for many days. For breaks he used to go a tea shop. He even asked the tea maker about any Sufi he knew. Then, one day, a person came to him and talked to him. Lao Tzu thought he was the one. But he told him "I am not a Sufi, but I can take you to him." He took him to a tea shop. A person was making tea and offered Lao Tzu a cup of tea. Lao Tzu asked "Are you a Sufi? He replied, "Yes, I am." Lao Tzu said, "I have been coming here for several days to have tea from your shop, and I asked you the very first day about a Sufi you know, but you never told me.
The Sufi replied, "The man who was watching you in the praying hall has been kept for this work only, to take a person like you to me."
There are more stories to tell about Sufis. I will try to write a few more.

Exactly! Even I knew very little about them. It's only when i heard Osho i came to know about them. Now when i am walking down the road and i see a beggar sitting, i think he could be a sufi

If you can get hold of some books by the Sufi Saint Hazrat Inayat Khan, you will find that they are brilliantly written.
