I went to the doctors again and they told me that I have real low blood pressure. It was 100/65 four days back (or so if I remember that) and yesterday it was 100/68 (I see some improvement). He refused me any medicines and said -
1. Sleep and Rest more
2. Eat fruits
3. Add Salt to your diet (if only he knew how much salt I have been consuming these past days, I have even changed my toothpaste to the one with Active Salts)
4. Try staying in cooler temperatures ( wonder if he came in from an alien place here as here the normal temperatures are above 42 deg C everyday during the mid-summers)
5. Stay indoors away from sun (, I am sure, he plans to buy us our groceries in his off time)
Anyways. So I returned back and told everything to the people here. For a second all seemed great.
I had promised two of my dear friends (on MyLot) that I will rest, so planned to get into bed early (12::00 am as that is what is the earliest, no matter what, we do not have dinner earlier).
After Dinner as I got into sleep mood, I was told they want to watch some movie on the computer which ultimately implied, I have to babysit until the movie ended and play the angel
Not much longer, the movie ended by 3:00 am. And I went to sleep at 4:30 am as by then, I had lost my motivation to sleep.
I could have earned some more dollars from my client who pays me per hour when there any work
Life is always unpredictable, right?

I was awake till 12:30. Although they disturbed your sleeping time, still "baby sitting and playing the angel" is better than "working on computer". Computer sucks out water and give tired / dry eyes.
Take care Sid! (100/65 to 100/68 LOL is it really an improvement?) Come back happy and healthy.

I see an improvement of 3 points of whatever they call it in medical terms. And I am always positive
The only one worrying me as of now is the advice to stay away from Sun! If that has to happen, my upcoming trip can be some problem - as I am not going there merely to doctors and stay at Vandanas. As you know, I also plan to scan and get something that I can cling on to for a while and maybe get some life for a while (I have a plan of 3-6 months to start with).

@Daljinder I am going via train. I will be carrying with me those sachets of Electrolyte powder for sure. Head is not always dizzy but weakness due to other things is definitely there. Will be careful and the good part is that I have always used reserved cabs when at Hyderabad, so it might be all okay if not bad.

@thesids If you are not getting dizzy then you can still make the trip. Just have to keep yourself hydrated and keep those electrolyte / bio-lyte or other stuff handy. You plan to travel on train right?

Yes, I can and should rest more. but at this stage - you know, with the baby around, i have also to ensure that her mom gets better rest. I care for the baby during the day - which gives some easy time to my wife to do the things she wants to do during the day. As such I have to shift work at night.

that's a low blood pressure?? i know many folks who'd be quite tickled to get theirs that low, lol. the doc's i've been to always wanna know how i managed to get to their office 's mine typically runs 'bout 85/48. 'course my "normal" temperature's 96.5. i know...i aint wired correctly.
how'n the heck're ya to stay outta the sun/heat 'n live?? sounds a tad absurd to me fer'em to think such'd be possible.
i really do wish ya could get a more decent rest. do y'all stay'p so late due to the heat durin' the day? yepperz, i'm a tad confused. if'n the movie's bein' watched'n the puter, i presume such could'a been viewed't a later time?
yepperz, life's most unpredictable :) but, 't least ya kinda'd that wee one to yerself fer a bit. big hugs!

Extremely sorry to have read your response earlier, and not responded to it. I have a below normal temperature very close to yours - I am at 97 degs and that is my normal temperature. Initially doctors here were baffled at this and I remember having many medicines to regulate it and get it back to the 98.4 as a kid, but that never happened and I still am all good with that 97. but 85/48 seems to be very scary (I realize this only because I was at 100/68 and I felt how bad it is).
The temperatures and such extreme hot climate has been a gift to the state from our government who has allowed and ripped off almost every tree on the roads in the name of modernization, expansion and even traffic control and power availability reasons.
Last week I was away from home on a rip to doctors at another state and I felt all better. I think it is the hot temperatures around here, that have added to the problems with my health.

@thesids no frettin' such, my friend. i thought nothin''f 't :) i wonder if'n perhaps ya got a gene mutation'r more that's the cause'f such?? i've both a/c MTHFR gene mutations that're likely the cause'f most that ails me. like pullin' teeth to get doc's to test fer such, they'd rather hand'ja a pill to mask the symptoms. i've 'bout given'p'n those doc's myself. got the testin' done 'n then hit the net fer all the info i could gather. nutrition seems to be the key - eatin' the correct thingies'n avoidin' others like the plague. 'course, that somewhat limits my abilities coz what's needed fer the one quite oft aggravates the other (crohn's mainly).
but, with what i'm doin' currently with foods 'n a few supplements, i'm doin' so much better than i've done'n some years.
such a pity that so many're more concerned with what they call "progress" 't the 'xpense'f not jest the locals, but the impact felt 'round the world. too much concrete jungles 'n disregard fer nature's benefits. i wish ya could move to that other state, hon. 'd wave a magic wand 'n make't so if'n i could.
big hugs!!

Doctors give some funny suggestions sometimes. But common sense says that you should not go out when it is so warm. Does the temperature decrease after sundown? I have discovered naps after my chemo. And I sleep less at night, of course. So I donĀ“t miss anything.

here, as I mentioned, it is quite hot during the day time. The temperatures start decreasing during late evenings. I have started buying whatever is needed during the evenings now. The days are too hot and the sun rays are too strong for me to handle.

So how many actual hours do you sleep??? Getting enough sleep and getting it regularly I think is most important. I am actually glad you did not get medications - I hope you find natural remedies rather than receiving a bunch of chemicals for your body (ah yes, perhaps some chocos will do !). Life is unpredictable for sure - I'm going through a lot of that in my life right now (that's why I haven't been much here this week) - but I refuse to lose any sleep over it. You take care of yourself, my friend - please do get the rest your body needs - and take 2 chocos in the morning !

@thesids No worries! I had not realized you had been out and about. Hope all went well on your travels - where did you go?
I totally understand how sleep gets disrupted with a baby/child in the household. And even when they get a little bigger, it takes a while to get back into the pattern of sleeping in length again. I know the feeling of how things cannot be held up or delayed . . . but really you must find a balance. Believe me there are times when I would stay up late to get things done, but then I end up exhausted out of my mind and possibly get sick - then nothing gets done at all.
These days I try to work on balance. I will complete the necessary tasks eventually, but now I refuse to lose sleep over it. You are a wonderful husband to allow your wife to get her needed rest . . . remember that you too need your rest. No matter what you say, you are human inside too .

Sorry for being late, I was traveling.
How are you doing my dear friend
My sleep is mostly disturbed these past few months and I am sure it is not enough for me, I do need to sleep more, but sadly, if I try doing that, many things are put on hold and delayed. That might have been all good with just the two of us around, but now with the baby i have to ensure more of rest for my wife during her free hours and during that time, I have to attend the baby. Then, during the late night, I have to work too as money is essential.
I noted your suggestion of chocos and will surely give it a try next time when I am running out of energy

You are so kind my friend , to babysit even if you were told that you need more sleep . Perhaps you can tell them what your doctor advised you so they can reschedule their movie watching .
You are the owner of the house , so you call the shots , my friend .

hmmn, I wonder if there are other things that might help raise the blood pressure, listen to upbeat music and do arm dances or something

And I need to do basically the opposite, except where sleep is concerned. I need to get rid of the salt and spend more time outdoors getting sun. Oh and exercising. So I'm on a blood pressure/water pill to help with my high blood pressure and weight.

I eventually found out that eating more of sugar helped me. Now, I have at least one liter of water with glucose added to it apart from some sweet in curd.
High blood pressure and weight are a dangerous combination. I hope you stay safe and away from the other effects that these bring in.

Did you know the following?
You need to avoid foods like celery, green beans (mung beans), Chinese white cabbages, pineapples.
You should not stand too long period of time.
When you get up, you should not do it in a sudden.
You need to stay hydrated - drink plenty of water.
When you have a very salty diet day, you need to add bananas to your diet to supplement and nurture your heart.
