Over the weekend we had my sister and a friend staying with us. The friend, Lynn, was intending to walk another section of the Bibbulman, a walking trail which stretches from Perth, Western Australia, 1,003 kilometres (623 miles) to Albany on the south coast.
The trail follows the general route taken by the indigenous aboriginals in their nomadic travels centuries ago. Lynn has already done much of the track and was intending this time to walk the 58 kilometres from Balingup to Donnelly River.
On Sunday we drove to Balingup. Shirley, Lynn and I walked from the town to the Golden Valley Tree Farm. Vince met us there with the car. Lynn and Vince then walked another three kms before we picked them up and returned home. Shirley went back to Narrogin next day and the rest of us got organised for Lynn's assault on the remaining 53 kms.
The Tree Farm was in all its glory with the trees sporting their spectacular autumn colours and I've included a photo.

@ElizabethWallace There were gingko trees in the park. We didn't stay very long or I would have taken a photo of each tree and its plaque - not all of them obviously but some.

Thank you. It is nice to capture such colour on film and to be able to look back on it.

It is a golden ash. The gleditsia also has very yellow foliage. It's a long way to walk but they do it in stages.

What a gorgeous picture! My husband stood up in his sister's wedding many years ago, and they sat on a bench under a tree that colour and had pictures taken. With their black tuxedos and the colour of the girls' dresses and the beautiful tree, it made for some memorable pictures.

I love the autumn colourings. We didn't used to get them on the farm as a child as the climate was hotter and dryer.
