It seemed a while since I've written on here, and looking at the date on my last post it is not that I've done anything exciting. My week has been a mixture of work and getting jobs done, I've mowed the lawn and started to weed my strawberry bed. The U.K. Weather didn't let me down, by the time my day off came it was windy and cooler, and on Friday just gone I was wrapped up with a scarf it's still dry though, just with a cold wind. The Friday before last we went on a treasure hunt to the near by town of rothbury, which was good fun. Rothbury is a lovely little town, unfortunately famous for floods and a local manhunt which ended with a murderer being shot there. It's a very pretty little town though and we had a nice time.

I know Rothbury, we rented an apartment there one week years ago, it was over an antique shop on or near the green. It really is a lively little town and we drive all over Northumbria from there.

time does get away from us all at times when we have off line things to do. A treasure hunt sounds like a lot of fun. Glad to have you back on here. I love the picture of the duck.

A treasure hunt does sound fun. We are having rainy weather here today. I am enjoying it though because it will soon be hot and I will wish we had days like this. Haha

@Dragonairy1 ...Here we need it before the hot weather so we don't get the fires so bad. Last year's fires was the worst we have had.

i adore this photo! looks like ya caught'im'n mid-quack :D i'm comin' to help ya with those strawberries ;) my patch purty much got destroyed last year by the grasshopper invasion, only 4 plants survived their onslaught. i'm wonderin' what treasures ya found'n rothbury? glad'ja'd a nice time whilst there. big hugs! i'd send'ja some warmth, but fear the thermometer aint cooperatin' this weekend. i've doubts we make't to the predicted high today'f 55 degrees. a far change from the 89 degrees 'n sunny skies'f friday, lol.

I see your weather can't quite make up its mind like ours. There wasn't treasure as such, more an answer to a puzzle I'll save you a place in my garden, the strawberry plants are just starting to flower

@Dragonairy1 no ma'am we're blustery, grey skied'n bone chillin' 'gain today. 'pposed to be back into the high 80's/low 90's by friday. most interestin' :) i presume ya got the answers ya were'n search'f? aw thanks! i've got 'bout 15 berries that're startin' to show promise. i'm hopin' that all the biological control myself'n the neighbor 'cross the road put out last year worked to curb the massive grasshopper onslaught we've'd the past couple'f years. sure'd make me most unhappy to've the need to share with 'em 'gain this summer, lol. big hugs!!

The weather here has been perfect growing weather with alternating warm sun and heavy rain. So perfect that we've had to mow the grass twice this week! And the weeds are growing so fast you can almost watch them.

I love the duck. It sounds like you are enjoying life and that is important, I've never been to England, maybe some day or in my next life! My ancestors came from England.
