We took a ride, gained, then lost, an hour?

OK - we took a ride yesterday to a place that sells all kinds of farm equipment, including the Cub Cadet lawn tractor we are thinking of buying. We wanted to do a test drive, but they didn't have the model we wanted. A waste of time and gas. It was an adventure anyway - we gained an hour and lost it again - how did we do that, do you know? You must have travelled into another time zone. Too bad that they didn't have the model you were interested in.

I'm guessing you crossed the time line. I found going to Florida and being in the central zone was strange this past winter....

Yes, we live in East zone and the central zone is not far from us but that was the first time in many years we went that way.

@AbbyGreenhill I spent a whole month waking up at 5 AM because my body clock said it was 6.

Yes, it's only about 20 mins. as the crow flies, but about 30 minutes driving time.

You live in Tennessee, isn't half the State in Eastern Time and half the State in Central Time?
