I find a random word by flipping through my 2003 The New Webster’s Concise Dictionary and write a quick – often silly – little post about it.
#
“Francophobe – Noun. A person who fears or dislikes France or French things. Adjective. Fearful of France.”
Someone who dislikes France makes sense, I mean, it’s France. But someone who fears France? I mean, it’s France.

I would not call this "Francophobia", but "French bashing". Be reassured : the percentage of French doing "American bashing" is approximately the same than the % of Americans doing "French bashing", and there are a lot of bad clichés on both sides, supposed to be funny.

There is the similar Anglophobe. On the flip side is Francophile.
