Focus on Writing

I am glad I am able to be here quite a bit today. I have busy times at the end of the week so I am enjoying writing today. I am also focused on Textbroker right now.
I will write one more article and then even if I do not get back to the site I will have something to cash out there. I have a weekly goal in mind because I want to have extra money for vacation and it seems we cannot count on our income tax. I am just putting it all in my own hands.
With the cool and rainy weather today, indoor activities are my focus. Writing especially.
I know I can count on MyLot to pay and also on Textbroker. Some of these little articles are really fun.
I will be gone for an hour or so this evening, but the rest of the day it is just my computer and I getting along well.

The site here is a joy and it is fun. Textbroker is work. However I can do it from home, so that is good.

@GardenGerty I am not one that is afraid of a little work, but I'd rather be social and have fun. LOL

The third week of June we will go to Minnesota. I wish we could go more often. It always feels good when everything in our tech world works.

@AmbiePam It is quite likely. I have to put money aside to go someplace nice to eat. That is what we usually do. Oh, and some site seeing. Hubby wants to go to a huge car show.

Actually I would say that I feel fortunate. I am not able to commit to a job away from my house at this time, because of family obligations, so I am lucky to be able to come up with money in this way.

I am impressed with anyone who can focus long enough to produce a novel.

@GardenGerty I finally finished my quota and sent the chapters to a friend to go over and find any missing problems. I'll do more tomorrow, maybe. I have a lot to do tomorrow. So we'll see.

It is a site the connects authors with people needing content and is the middle man. Free to join, honest, reliable. You must apply, and do a sample and upload a photo ID. It is for US only.

My daughter is always looking for ways to earn extra cash while writing. I sent her a link to textbroker, not sure she is doing anything with it though.

It makes my daughter anxious, and is not really her cup of tea.

I do okay. Have almost never had a revision. It is not as much fun as other places but it is dependable and honest.

You know, I should go back to textbroker. I only wrote one article and that was before I earned my degree. However, it is non-fiction writing (I really don't like non-fiction unless it is about what is going on in my life) but it will keep my writing skills sharp for when I get motivated to edit my work again.

It is a good way to stay on your toes in regards to grammar and spelling and research. I use the swagbucks search and often earn extra points there.

Textbroker is a freelance brokerage, USA only. You apply and do a sample. If accepted you are assigned a rank and get paid accordingly. You choose articles from their assignment orders area. I am an average writer there. I suggest anyone who writes a sample send it through a grammar check because the difference in my rate of pay and the next one up is pretty huge. It also makes a difference what assignments are available.

I did textbroker for a time, made some money there as well, but a writer I am not and soon gave that up.

@GardenGerty Once you get the hang of ebay it's quite easy. The most important thing is to package correctly so as not to break anything. I do it for fun.

Enjoy your day. I am going to be away a lot for the next three weeks, so will not have access to a computer most of the time. Will get on here as much as I can.

When you get a chance to be away you should take it. I try to set aside my online stuff as much as possible when I travel. Are you taking a vacation?
