Nine o'clock and still light

Oh I do like the spring and summer months in the UK, the long evenings and the warmer weather. There is something special about that extended time at the end of the day, it's like a daylight bonus. Sitting in the slowing embers of the day, beer in hand...what could be better? And it means I get to play a bit more golf :) Do you live in a country that has long summer evenings. What do you do with the extra light? Later

Hi John I wish we had long summer evenings, but it's never light much beyond 7:00pm here. Right now it's already dark by 6:00pm, which isn't much fun. It's only autumn and I'm really not looking forward to winter.

@ison_1 I'm fine. How are you? Yes we have hot summers, and this one was hotter than normal. I love hot weather so it didn't bother me, but it was all a bit much for my Mom. The trouble is that she doesn't like winter either. Any extreme bothers her.

We do have some late night day lights but i am not sure what time of the year it is LOL. I like it but at the same time i do not my children think since it is day light out side they do not need to go to bed when it is past their bed time they go to bed at 8.

I remember when I was little and had to go to bed in daylight - I would read a book.

@ison_1 Yeah they do not like it my little girl dont have to worry about it as it is dark in her room but my son keeps taking his down so the light will shine in in the mornings so he gets up early.
