Running between the rain drops

Wouldn't you know it, early this morning the weatherman for this area said showers later this afternoon. Wrong, it was raining lightly by 7:00 am but we didn't let it stop us. First thing we did was head to our new favorite breakfast spot - Reagan's House of Pancakes where you can order from the menu or get the buffet. We took the buffet and I had pancakes and to balance that out I did have some fruit! My husband got his fill with pancakes, sausage and a pile of bacon. We came back to the cabin to feed Ruby and take her for a walk. Finally the rain let up and off we went to my favorite store in Pigeon Forge, Old Time Pottery. If we had room in the SUV there were dozen of things I would have bought, but with Ruby taking up the back and everything else we lug around in the backseat, space is at a premium. So I had to buy small things, couldn't leave empty handed! The biggie was the trip to Kroger where we found items we can't find in our local grocery stores...I was like a kid in a candy shop. I was anxious to try Board Head Teriyaki Chicken which they had, so we bought that to make sandwiches for lunch. It was very good and we will be buying more of that. We played a few games of pool, which we haven't done since we sold our pool table years ago. Ours was regulation size and this one is a lot smaller so a little easier to get those balls in the pocket! He beat me two to zero, but the second game I did manage to make it to the 8 ball.
