Dead as a Doornail

My cell phone charger is dead. Finito. Finished... So, I am without a cell phone until tomorrow. Whatever will I do? How did we ever survive before technology?? Maybe I will find something "real" to do with my time tonight... By the way, what does "dead as a doornail" even mean? Were door nails ever living things? Hmm... Lol.

Oh no i hate it when that happens. But the good thing is my hubby has the same phone carger as me. But this has happened to me as i need a new charger now.

Me too! I actually have about a dozen phone chargers here but none of them fit this particularly phone! Lol.

@jahunt LOL same here. I do still have the phones that they fit though. But my hubby use to bring me the wrong one every time LOL.

So you had to spend an evening without your cell phone. Oh. My. Gosh! Yes, I'm being a(n) _______ (you fill in the blank). I have a cell phone but I also have a landline. So I only use my cell phone when I leave the house. I have always heard, "Deader than a doornail," but they mean the same thing. I have no idea where that came from.
