In the summer vacation, my 5 year old daughter stays at home for about 3 months. Seriously I don't want her to watch television or play games on tab for more than an hour. I planned few activities like painting, taking her to gym with me and story telling. Can any one please tell me how I can keep her engaged for the entire day.

Well you can always enroll them to summer classes like soccer, basketball taekwando etc.. And its really a problem coz kids today prefer to play video and mobile games anyway, You can try visiting relatives who have kids with the same age bracket so they will be able to mingle.

let her watch TV for more than an hour. unless you have a gazillion of coloring books and crafts or have all the time to keep her company doing something else. i have a 3yr old nephew who likes to play a lot on his own. we keep him in the living room most time of the day. we give him new toys and switch on TV cause he gets bored when its too quiet and we're good.

You could take her to a swimming pool which is always a lot of fun for kids, then you could on another day take her to the children's museum or to the zoo.

Enroll her to something she enjoys.I prefer also a dancing or in an art and music class.

You could enroll her to yoga or dance class for kids ...it will be healthy and time consuming too..
