I defy anyone who cannot laugh at the Marx Bros, the zaniest most unique comedy team there ever was. Everyone recognizes them. Fast talking Groucho with his painted on moustache and ever present stogie bombarding the audience with quips, puns, wisecracks, one liners and double entendres in his oft imitated style. Con man Chico decked out in his ridiculous Tyrolean cap and outfit rapidly double talking in fractured "Italian" English and confounding even Groucho. Insane curly wigged Harpo with his smiling devilish cherubic face who never utters a word and famously chased blondes whistling and honking a horn. The only time Chico and Harpo were serious came when playing piano and harp which they did very well. The real life brothers (along with lesser known siblings Zeppo and Gummo) honed their routines for years in vaudeville then Broadway and reached Hollywood with "The Coconuts" in 1929. The lunatics were in charge of the asylum. The brothers were skilled at improv and Groucho a master of ad-libs. It should be mandatory viewing for all aspiring comics to watch "Animal Crackers," "Duck Soup" and "A Day at the Races" to learn how it is done.

"Horse Feathers" was cute, but for shear nutiness, I always liked "Duck Soup."

I love the Marx Brothers! Harpo's harp solo in A Night at the Opera is classic.
