Returning an item on Amazon should I leave feedback?

This is the shirt that is defective

There is lots of times in the past that I didn't leave feedback. I actually didn't even realize we should do it until I started doing the reviews on AMZreviewtrader. I bought my daughter a shirt on Amazon and it came from China. I never buy outside of the United States but since I could not find an Undertale shirt in the United States I resorted to buying from a seller in China. When the shirt arrived way ahead of schedule I was so excited.... until I opened it up and saw the dirty finger print stains around the collar and the splotches of messed up color all over the back on the bottom. You can't see it in this photo as the photo was taken in bright light and I need to zoom in to show the spots. The color of this shirt was also supposed to be a vibrant beautiful pink and it is not anything like that. It is a dull grayish pink color. I requested a refund. They told me if I returned the item they would give me a full refund. They wanted me to pay shipping to return it. I got an email from Amazon asking if the seller had resolved my problem. I clicked no and it asked why and I clicked on the spot that said seller wants me to pay return shipping. I emailed the seller and said that they sent me a defective item and I should not have to pay for he postage to return it. They emailed me back saying that they would refund my money and for me to leave them high feedback. I did just receive my refund thankfully. I am so relieved. I think that since they refunded my money I won't leave them negative feedback but I also don't think I should leave them good feedback either. I think I should just not leave feedback or a review at all. What do you all think?

I would def. complain about it though. More like a 3 star review to me. I do the AMZ but it has been slow. Only had to return one item so far. Good luck

I should have returned one item but I didn't realize we could on AMZreviewtrader. It was a very cheap very thin Harry Potter ring.

@shaggin You can still review the product on AMZ but still do the return like normal through Amazon

I would leave polite, factual feedback. The product was unsatisfactory and say why. The did resolve it but you had to insist it seems. Other buyers should know this. The seller should know that they have to earn buyer's trust.

On AMZreviewtrader I left honest feedback about why I disliked this one cell phone case I got to test out for free. It absolutely would not fit on my phone no matter how hard others and I tried. Due to that I rated it a 1 for I don't like it. They messaged me and asked if I would consider changing it to a 4 or 5 or delete it. These reviews are supposed to be honest that I wrote so if their product is bad then I'm sorry but that's just the way it is.

I think you should leave feedback. I always leave a feedback on all the purchased i have done online. You should say honestly what happened during the transaction. Tell everything.

They have no other reviews. I wonder if others have had similar problems or if I am truly the first person to buy from them.

@shaggin you maybe the first. And it's better to give a feedback so that you can help others who plan to buy from them.

I would state the shirt was not as described upon receiving - was not new and you had to return it...I always provide my feedback positive or negative.

@infatuatedbby Good idea. I was just thinking of something like. Item arrived really fast but defective so seller refunded my money. That isn't much of a review though so maybe I could just do that as feedback for them. People only read the reviews though. If I wrote a full review it would include the fact that the color was so off, the image was faded looking, their were finger print stains around the collar and some spots where it looks like the dye didn't take all over the back.

Well the shirt was new it is just that they must have had something like dye on their hands when they touched it to fold it or something. The spots on the back is where the dye did not take correctly or is grease spots. I can't really tell.

They tried to squirm their way out of paying for the return shipping until I complained to Amazon. They did give my money back which Amazon would have made them in the end since it was defective. I left a review so others will be aware of what happened to me. Maybe this has happened to others as well and feedback wasn't left so I would never know..

@shaggin Please leave feedback and then return the product. That will make the online agencies aware.
25 May 16
@shaggin Thanks Shaggin in that case there is no point to return and comment.

it's a hassle indeed. if the product did not meet my expectation, i think i would let me be frustrated for a while than sending a package back and deal with a refund request.

I would not give them high ratings either I mean I feel like this was so much hassle.

I would not leave feedback for them but do think if you get a link for your thoughts I would put something like it would have been nice to know the color pictured is not the item received maybe?

Eventually I left feedback about how the item was received. It was a hard choice on what to do but I wanted to warn other sellers.

Can you leave a comment in response to the feedback? If so I would give them a good rating, but not 100% and say that you received an item that was defective and that they refunded you for the item.

We can rate them up to 5 stars with 5 being the best. There are three things you can leave... packaging feedback, seller feedback and a review. Each one you can leave the option of however many stars and a comment about why you chose that rating.

@shaggin I would be hard pressed not to let the next buyer know that the item ordered was not in good shape.

I personally dislike leaving negative feedback on Amazon and Ebay. I usually then rate them on how the return went. Was it simple and quick? And then explain in the comments what happened.

I don't like leaving negatives either. I would rather just not leave feedback at all then make it negative. Good advice thank you.

you must leave a feedback, I never purchased from any online eCommerce sites because I don't have trust on them, they may send defective piece and we can't fight.

Amazon from what I have heard around facebook has a really good policy for helping customers who get defective products. I was confident due to this that if the seller wouldn't refund my money that Amazon would help me.

No one has left them any feedback yet so I really have nothing to compare it to. I don't see how this could be an accident when the item was so defective. Why would they even send it. Why not just make another shirt if this one was messed up and send me the good one so they would get great feedback and it would help their business.
