It will be a busy three days

My daughter bought a very old, small, "cute" house in Portland, closed this week, so we will drive up tomorrow, stay the night in a hotel. Then she would like for me to sort of "supervise" the movers she has hired, so up early on Saturday to go to her tiny apartment and start that day. Her new house is not far from where she lives now and she does not have a lot to move, but I do hope that she has it all packed and ready, though she has worked all week.
We will stay over on Saturday too and maybe do a little furniture shopping with her before we drive back on Sunday. I hope that it all goes smoothly and am glad that she is only 100 miles away.
Now, since I work today, I had better get moving, gather my wits about me, and put on my "sales" face.

@JamesHxstatic Boring bird store. You could at least wear a kilt.

Fortunately, we dress pretty informally at the bird seed plus store, jeans and sneakers.

Moving is such a big job I am sure your daughter will appreciate all the help you can give her. My son is moving in July, but he is kind of a minimalist. I don't think it will be a big problem for him.

It is nice to be needed by our children isn't it? I hope this is a pleasant experience for all involved. I dislike moving so much and hope I never have to do it again. Have a nice weekend.

Oh, I am sure she does appreciate the help and moral support. It is a big step buying a house by herself.

Moving is such a pain. It is kind of you to hang out with her while the movers do the heavy lifting. Be sure that they do it, and not you or your daughter!

Its a good thing that you could help her up in sorting things out for her moving and to facilitate the moving team for her. Good luck and hope you enjoy your time together.

Thanks, @Jabo. Her new street is narrow and crowded, hoping the truck can get in okay.

Thank you! I am hoping so too. Portland is growing so fast that I am sure it will be a good investment for her, though it is tiny.
