Today I bought a lottery ticket and I'm super excited about it. I don't need to win the jackpot to be happy either. I think it would be awesome to win anything.
Have you ever bought a lottery ticket or do you play the lottery?
Have you ever won anything?
I have won a couple times but it was only a couple dollars each time, but that's something!

We have mainly two lotteries here : Euro millions and the French Loto. For both, the chances to NOT win anything are about 93%. This info is enough for me to never play. My father was more optimistic and was buying a ticket every week. He was happy when he was winning 10 or 20 Euros.
I wish you good luck with your lottery ticket.

We play the lottery when the jackpot gets really big. We should stick to the smaller jackpots. Probably have a better chance of winning more than a dollar or two.

I dont go out to buy tickets because Alabama does not have the lottery, I would have to drive 30 to 45 minutes for tickets but when I am in one of the lottery states I will buy one on occasion, only won a few dollars.

I don't know the lottery that you are talking about, but I play in some lotteries in my country. The most I ever won was 10 €. Moreover, it is very rare to get something. 1 € or 2 €.
But yes... it always makes me happy :D

I have played every now and again but have only ever won when I've purchased scratch-off tickets. I used to play those every day when I was 19 and in college. Each morning, I'd go to the same shop and every day, the same cashier said that I couldn't play because I wasn't 18. So, years later, when I returned to the area and happened to see her working in a different location of that convenience store chain, I grabbed a newspaper, walked up to the counter, took out my ID, placed it on top of the newspaper, and when the cashier asked me why I had done that, said that I just wasn't sure if 24-year-olds were allowed to read the newspaper. That's when she remembered who I was and apologized for harassing me back then.

I don't play the lottery, but I do play an occasional scratch card. I won 10 bucks on my first ever scratch card, so they're sort of my thing.
