My friend went to an astrologer yesterday regarding her career....and he made like some pretty unsavoury predictions
He totally nailed the "FAULT IN HER STARS"
.....and there goes my friends morale She id soooooo bummed !!!
I felt bad for her...and tried to explain that its totally great to have faith but this faith should not be Blind Faith...thats where problem lies...
Destiny is in your hands, i believe in fate and all ....and maybe the going may get tough...but if you work..no one can deny you
Stars change ...people change..every minute...that means every minute you get an opportunity to change your life direction

True, one should not give too much emphasis on astrology, because once you fall in that trap, you are emotionally controlled by these stars.
Astrology says a Manglik woman could be a life threat to her husband and the husband may die within 8 months of marriage.
In that sense ,every 4th girl is a manglik , so that would mean all husbands should die?
I dont say astrology is useless or has no significance, but it could impose lot of restrictions in our decision making.

Well the greatest example is Mrs.Aishwarya Rai Bachhan!! Even she had to marry a tree and not what else to marry Abhisekh.

@BlissfullySilent Its not a bad business nowdays. Along with that have a tie up with stones dealer and get a commission for referring costly stones to people.

@scheng1...she can totally do whatever she wants...its just shes going through rough time..
so shes probably second guessing everything and on top of that this visit kind off had a reverse effect...
I believe with time she'll get her act together and move out of this phase

Take a knife with you ... Put your arm around his shoulder ...
For now ... by imagining the situation I wish I could be that astrologer. Girl's hand on my shoulder
Now ask him what is your future in next 2 mins ?

Thanks Shrutiji for the comments. Yes too much relying on soothsayers does not help people. End of the day, a person must give effort. Rest is in fate.

Well.. My parents have consulted many astrologers for my career and one prediction was common that I should stay away from boys and should totally turn blind to love. Otherwise, it will cause havoc in my life and the boy whom I will love will ditch me. I didn't pay attention to these predictions and after 5 years I was broken into smithereens. So, I believe on astrology to some extent. These are basically calculations. But we shouldn't get wholly dependent on it is what I believe.

@anya12adwi i know right?
and we cant even judge ...because we dont know much about it and thus have to take things on face value...which may work anyways
its a gamble

We cant say that astrology is baseless but also that there is no direct connection between astrology and our life. Our future, carrier, fate totally depends on what we do,how we handle things and all. Why should be blame on stars for it when we can control the things on our self? Astrologers are very clever personalities.
They judge the person quickly and then make irrelevant predictions so that the client comes back to them everytime.
I think you should advise your parents to build her own career rather than following the path what the astrologer told.
