One of my friends here has started four or five discussions today.I wonder how much time gap should there be between two consecutive discussions so that both of them get proper exposer. Your opinion, please.

the thing is, it depends. I have always felt spreading them out, gives more people a chance to respond, but as long as each discussion actually has something to it, like a good question or thought, doesnt really matter

@Jessicalynnt,So far as I have noticed, you, too, never start more than one discussion a day.Am I right? If I start one discussion a day,and not more than that, then I may rest assured that the one discussion would be viewd, liked and commented on sooner or later.

@else34 my goal was to start 2, but I rarely get to the second post. If I do, they are usually spaced out withow see houra between them. I wish we had the ability to save drafts here, I'd prewrite when I had more time

@Jessicalynnt I never save my discussions as drafts. If a thought comes to my mind,I share it here in the form of a discussion.Don't have time to prewrite my thoughts.

I agree with you that there should be gab between discussions and discussions should not be written together.

@ajithlal,Yes,proper gap between two consecutive discussions is essential, otherwise your posts would not get exposer.

I think you will get more exposure if you post at different time. But it depends on your schedule. Some people here have a day job, so they can't spend all day on myLot.

@cheerfulnuts,Yes,I have a day job and lack of space. My computer is installed in a room where my aunt sleeps and I can't disturb her at night. That's why I generally post my discussions in the afternoon after returning from my workplace.

I think the time difference should be that you're targeting a different set of readers each time, those that want can then go back and see what else you've written.

@valmnz,Yeah,we all are from different time zones.Fortunately some of my friends here invariably visit my posts, like and comment on them.Often the comment on my old posts as well.

@gudheart,I think,it would be better to post the second discussion only after the first one has received at least four or five likes and as many comments.

There is no actual specified time period and most members have different approaches, although posting a lot of discussions in a short time is not really helpful. Very few members would bother with most of them, which rather defeats the object. Personally I tend to submit one a day and sometimes less, but 2 or 3 would be reasonable.

@Asylum,You are absolutely right.Multiple discussions posted in quick succession don't really help the initiator.People ignore them.I,too, rarely start more than one discussion a day.

i think it's because some people like to maximize their time while they're here

@hereandthere,Yes,they want to maximise their earnings here in the time they spend on Mylot. But I wonder how much time they keep between two consecutive discussions.

I think that it is a bad idea to post too many discussions in a short period of time.

@marlina,I,too,think so.Multiple discussions started in quick succession do not allow any discussion to get proper exposer.
