Day 62
Psalm 62
Psalm 62:1 < Truly my soul waits upon God: from him comes my salvation.
2 He only is my rock and my salvation; he is my defense; I shall not be greatly moved.
3 How long will ye imagine mischief against a man? Ye shall be slain all of you: as a bowing wall shall ye be, and as a tottering fence.
4 They only consult to cast him down from his excellency: they delight in lies: they bless with their mouth, but they curse inwardly. Selah.
5 My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation is from him.
6 He only is my rock and my salvation: he is my defense; I shall not be moved.
7 In God is my salvation and my glory: the rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God.
8 Trust in him at all times; ye people, pour out your heart before him: God is a refuge for us. Selah.
9 Surely men of low degree are vanity, and men of high degree are a lie: to be laid in the balance, they are altogether lighter than vanity.
10 Trust not in oppression, and become not vain in robbery: if riches increase, set not your heart upon them.
11 God hath spoken once; twice have I heard this; that power belongs unto God.
12 Also unto thee, O Lord, belongs mercy: for thou render to every man according to his work.
Where is your hope? Whom do you trust? Man tends to trust in his strength and skill in everything he does. However, strength fails and skills become obsolete.
David put all his hope and trust in God. He sought God’s strength and God’s salvation, and because of it, nothing moved him.
When we do the same thing, trusting God, putting our faith, our hope, everything we are in him, he will be our salvation. God will be our refuge and defense when trouble comes our way. Then nothing will move us either. We will be united with God to the point where people will recognize God in us when they see us.
Jesus told the people that he and the Father were one. He told Philip that when he saw him, he saw the Father.
What do people see when they see you? Make God your refuge and strength and everyone who sees you will know God lives in you too.
Let’s pray: Father, give me your strength. Let me stand firm in my salvation so that when people see me they see you. In Jesus’ name, I pray, amen.

That is true. We must put our faith in the one and only God and his son Jesus Christ.

I should recite this more frequently, least I start fretting about random stuff.
This is the 3rd psalm about "trust in God" I've came across today now.
You'd think I'd get the message right. :D
