We remain in England for #6 in my Top 10 Favorite 80's Synth-Pop Songs, specifically, London, home of Grammy Award-winning, UK Music Hall of Fame Inductees Eurythmics.
Eurythmics were a synth-pop duo comprised of vocalist/pianist Annie Lennox (recipient of the Order of the British Empire,) and multi-instrumentalist Dave Stewart. They formed in 1980 and released a catalog full of international Gold and Platinum albums and singles.
In 1983, Eurythmics hit big with their second album, Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This,) as well as it's title track, a huge smash itself.
That album also contained my favorite song by the duo, "I've Got an Angel" (track two, side one.)
"I've Got an Angel" was not a hit. It was never released as a single, nor even as a B-side. It is simply an album cut. But, oh man, are Annie Lennox's vocals fantastic!
It might not have been another notch on their gold and platinum gun, but in my eyes, it holds it's own within the duo's output.

Eurythmics are 80s new wave gods! Annie Lennox one of the greatest female vocalists ever.
