Dear Spammers,
Please do us both a favour and stop spamming me with incoherent messages like this:
"IQ gives you a great opportunity to earn 3652$ at your home. If you are some intelligent you makemany more Dollars.I am also earning many more, my relatives wondered to see how i settle my Life in few days thank GOD to you for this.."
First of all, if you have some degree of intelligence, you would be able to write properly! Why would I trust anyone who can't even string a sentence together??
Secondly, we both know, I am NOT going to click on your link. So, why don't you save yourself some time, and take your "business" elsewhere. Time is money, why waste it on me???
Finally, I am sure you're aware that advertising on this site is against ToS, so why spam a bunch and risk getting banned. Again, this is hardly a worthy investment of your time.
So why don't you do yourself a favour and use your time wisely!
I am simply not worth it!
Sincerely,
NotYours!
p.s. other mylotters, due to spams I have received lately, I have adjusted my mail box settings.

Spam is rarely interesting (unless you are gullible or have a twisted mind). People who join only to send PMs can only be detected if people report them to Admin (by sending a PM to @goaskalice).
This user WAS banned pretty quickly, as it happens.

@owlwings By interesting I mean, those spam where they say - "I am general's wife and I want you to rescue me and get the 1 Million Euro property of my husband as there is espionage here. So send me some money to help me get the plane ticket and i'll share wealth with you."

Please DO report all messages like this. We do not want to have people like this anywhere near MyLot and the ONLY way that they can be removed is if they are reported to GoAskAlice (by sending a copy of the message and the username in a PM to him).
It doesn't matter if you think that other people may have already reported it. If you value MyLot and like it to remain spam-free, you MUST report this kind of thing!

I have just posted a detailed explanation of how to best deal with this kind of spam and how to minimise the chance of getting it in the future.
Recently there has been an incident where a person joined MyLot in order to spam a number of members by sending PMs to them and without posting any discussion,...

Indeed, as there was no report button on my mail box, I had to go the manual route of block then change mail box settings. It would be nice if the report button is also there

Hitting the delete button is easy enough.. I guess I just prefer to not even have to delete it. I mean I already get enough spam elsewhere, don't need another source of this. I have since changed my mail box settings, hopefully should be all good from now on

I received exactly the same message. What I want to know is HOW they sent the exact same message to most of the people on myLot?
When I tried to do that several months ago (No, not send a spam message, I sent an important notice.) the system allowed two people to receive the message but no one else received it. The system deleted all the rest of those messages I tried to send.
So how was the spammer able to bypass that filter? I know how I did that, but can't figure out how @sadsack did it?! Anybody got an idea about that?
Don't post those ideas here! Send them to @GoAskAlice so the programmers for myLot have a chance to block things like this from being sent to all of us like this!
That's what I say, at least!

@Drosophila I suppose they could be. I didn't think of a spamming program, Wendy.
When I bypassed the filter I just had to do something simple. I've sent how I did it to Alex so they can block that way, too.
I would think the system would still pick up on that, but I guess not!? SMH!

I got the same message today and they asked for registering and payment of $10. I know its a spammer and left it unanswered but still what if someone responds and attracted to those fancy figures, they loose hard earned money. Admin has to take care to block such accounts immediatly

Admin cannot know about spammers whose only 'activity' is sending private messages so it is vital to report all such messages immediately as @JolietJake says.

@Tirumalesh yes, these "offers" are rarely anything genuine!
If I was making $4k on some website a month, I won't have time to be spamming people with a barely readable message

@Yh1001 tbh if I was earning $3500 off a website, I simply don't have time to spam anyone..
Pyramid systems based on referrals just don't fetch you that amount
