Do you ever feel like you have no time for yourself?

I know I know ... there are definitely some people who's gonna say things like "you manage your own time" and just get me to have better time management. But really, don't you ever feel like you don't (and will never) have enough time? I usually spend my time at work, catching up with family and friends, giving tuition, planning volunteer events and of course, social media. When I reach home at night I'm just exhausted - barely enough energy to shower and snooze asleep. Technically speaking, yes I have spare time. Unfortunately, spare time doesn't equate to quality time. There's no time to reflect and think back on everything that have been happening for quite awhile, there's no time to stop and be grateful and give thanks, there's no time to rest and bask in the present without worrying about what is next on my to-do list. Are we just too caught up with and in the world today?

Yeah this is the case almost everywhere. We are so much packed up in our schedules may be of school or colleges or of jobs or businesses but we stay packed up.Luckily I've realized this sometime back and I do get time for myself to explore myself to thank for whatever I've receive in my life and to live every moment productively. And genuineld I have friends with whom I usually meet and always feel blessed and happy and we people always cherish the memories we have and the person we have become today.

Several years ago I was just like that and I didn't have time for myself. But now, even with a hectic schedule, I finally get to enjoy the things I do. I never thought I would have time for yoga but now I go to yoga class three times a week. I would ride my road bike and enjoy the fresh air early in the morning once in awhile. I feel good doing all these things just for me.

@adelynnn I don't pay in advance though so it's not really the fee that motivates me.

Yup! I guess sometimes you have to commit to certain things first (like paying for yoga) before you actually start making time for it!

Without a doubt, we are a society of very busy people. At times it is overwhelming. Whether we like it or not most of us are forced into the multitasking mindset. As silly as this may sound, this is what I do to take the edge off of the insanity: I take my day planner and purposely schedule 'me' days. I have nothing scheduled, no to-do's, no appointments, no, no, no, Believe it or not, it works. Most months I can have several 'me' days. Try it. Let me know how you do.

That is a good tip. My "me"days will happen very soon. I have been busy for a long time and I want to take a vacation before jam packed schedules come over.

Yes that's a very good strategy! I tend to block off certain nights for myself and my family but when work comes or when friends approach then these days tend to get filled up damnnnn

Yes we are definitely caught up with all! Trick is to stop giving too much attention to them, for instance, if at work some person is annoying, let him be the way he is. When it comes to the time, the time that we have in front, we invest (or waste?) it in the thoughts like above. So, in this way, the time with you currently passes by, and you're not even in that time! So, one way out can be, just exit your mind from situations which make you stay sticking to them. Just look at another thing or another situation and feel good that you're making most of your time. The moment you stop thinking "I don't have time", that's exactly when you start getting more and more time. Right now, when you've read this.. Start saying this to yourself "I have a lot of time to live my life", and see the difference!

I agree with your comments fellow mylotters. I think that we just have to change our mindset. Instead of harboring negative thoughts, much better to shift it to a positive one. I am a believer of the law of attractions that we always think of, we attract.

actually, there is time for everything. it is just a matter of priorities and your willingness. if you need time to reflect, you will find time. maybe not now, but some things will happen to bring you there.

That is true. As what I hear everytime,if you want something to be done you find ways but if you don't you find excuses. We have a lot of time and it is just up to us how are we going to use it.
