I was checking my royalties and the children's book I wrote with my daughter some time ago, "Mike and the Really Hard Homework Question" is starting to gain some traction in Europe, especially in Italy. Seeing the book (which is available on Amazon if you're interested) selling like that is pretty cool. It's still not selling at a high enough level for me to quit my full-time job (especially since I give the royalties to my daughter). But, it's nice being able to brag about my books selling around the world.

That's really nice it's selling! I tried to write a book earlier this year, but I don't have the patience to do it and my writing skills aren't really great either, but I'm really glad for you @srhelmer

I pretty much gave up on writing that best-selling novel. I can come up with a great beginning and ending but the middle stuff is always a struggle. I am, however, pretty decent with short stories and poems, which is why I write the children's books and let my daughters illustrate. I probably won't make a fortune doing it but it's something they can find at the library and remember working on with me.

It is cool to be an author. I am just a reader :)
