Day 64 Psalm 64 Psalm 64:1 < Hear my voice, O God, in my prayer: preserve my life from fear of the enemy. 2 Hide me from the secret counsel of the wicked; from the insurrection of the workers of iniquity: 3 Who whet their tongue like a sword, and bend their bows to shoot their arrows, even bitter words: 4 That they may shoot in secret at the perfect: suddenly do they shoot at him, and fear not. 5 They encourage themselves in an evil matter: they commune of laying snares privily; they say, Who shall see them? 6 They search out iniquities; they accomplish a diligent search: both the inward thought of every one of them, and the heart, is deep. 7 But God shall shoot at them with an arrow; suddenly shall they be wounded. 8 So they shall make their own tongue to fall upon themselves: all that see them shall flee away. 9 And all men shall fear, and shall declare the work of God; for they shall wisely consider of his doing. 10 The righteous shall be glad in the LORD, and shall trust in him; and all the upright in heart shall glory. When trouble comes our way we all want God to take care of it. We want to see trouble come to those who trouble us. We might even plot how to get even with everyone who brought trouble our way. David was always in some kind of trouble. Saul sought his life. The Philistines waged war against him, and he found trouble from his son, Absalom, who wanted to take his throne from him. It would seem there was never a moment of peace in David’s life. Yet David never plotted revenge against anyone who came against him. He trusted God to take care of everyone who plotted against him and waged war against him. As a result, God did keep David safe from all his enemies. When God delivered him, David praised him and told everyone what God did for him. People tend to forget their prayers to God for help when things turn around for them and brag about how they came through the problems in their lives. However, when we put our complete faith and trust in God to take care of us in every situation in our lives, and give him praise and boast in what God did for us, God will always take care of us. As Christians, Satan is always out to bring trouble our way. He will do everything he can to make our lives miserable. Yet when we trust God to take care of Satan, he will flee from us, and we will have peace in our lives. If you are facing problems put your faith and trust in God to take care of you and you will find that peace that passes all understanding as God takes care of you. Let’s pray: Father, help me put my faith and trust in you to take care of me when Satan comes against me to hurt me and bring trouble my way. In Jesus’ name, I pray, amen. Indeed, I went through some pretty crazy times, and I know, I wouldn't have made it without the support of the Lord. I was living in countries far from family and friends, they really couldn't have done much for me. So, in my thanks giving, I know who the credit goes to.

I think most of the time we remember God in bad times and forget to thank him in the good times.
