A Cute Dog Followed Me on the Street

On my way to work, a cute white dog appeared out of nowhere and came running towards me. It wouldn't quit following me even if its owner kept calling its name. I wanted to pet it, but I was about to cross the street and I was worried that it would get run over by a car, so I just ignored it until its owner took it. Deep inside, I was rather pleased with myself. I never had a dog, and I think it's flattering when someone's pet seems to like you. I was walking confidently this time, almost cockily, when I realized that I had been carrying a bag of banana bread. The dog must have smelled it. That explains why it won't leave me alone.

I am scared of dogs, animals so further they are from me the better. But that's cute, how the dog may smell the banana bread you were carrying.

@infatuatedbby It will be easier if the dog is well-behaved. :) I had encountered an old dog who was really well-behaved. It did not jump or bark at us. It was just sitting there and looking at us. That was the time I realized that dogs aren't scary at all.

I used to be scared of animals, especially dogs. I thought they would hurt me. But as I grew up, I learned to love them. It was funny, although a bit disappointing lol.

It is always my luck when I run into a dog. Whether it be a small or large dog, they always follow me home. I'm not sure if it's just dumb luck or if there's something about me that makes them follow me. I couldn't tell you how many dogs I've found homes for or how many I've taken to their owners. I don't have the heart to shut the door on them.

@lexinonomous I see. I love both cats and dogs, but maybe dogs are friendlier (and more trusting) to strangers.

@cheerfulnuts Cats don't really follow me. I find cats to be pretty skittish in general. I have only been followed by a few cats. Usually, they will run and hide.

I would love to own a pet, but there are many reasons why I can't. Our apartment is too small, I don't think the dog will be happy there. I'm also slightly allergic to fur. But someday, I will get my own pet, maybe from an animal shelter. Your cats are so sweet! I would love to go home to that everyday.
