Another long summer is here in Dubai, the weather is changing now currently it's 34°C. But did you know that for 4 years I've been in this city this year was the most number of rains that took place in Dubai. Starting from the beginning of this year until April 2016. It rains respectively and even ice was falling from the sky last February. I will cherish those times because it happens only once in a blue moon. :) Right now, I will prepare my umbrella and sunscreen to protect me from the hotness of Mr. Sun, summer time already started and even it will become more hotter and hotter as the time approaches. Good luck to our skin! =)

Oh! it's that so? it's very rare to have hailstorm here.. that's why i saw in the news that for 19 years it happened again this year. Some part of UAE have snow like in Ras Al Khaimah. Where are you residing right now?

those clouds look like it's humid in dubai. i'm glad you use sunscreen and umbrella. falling ice would be hailstorm which happens here, too. does it rain in dubai as hard as here in the philippines with thunder and lightning and do the streets in dubai get flooded?

I took this picture before the day summer started. Yeah, most of the Filipinos here are using umbrella for sun protection, because buses and metro stations are slightly away from the buildings that we usually stay. I do put sunscreen to protect me against skin cancer. Yes, that's the word hailstorm. It happened only this year. The usual rain that we have there in the Philippines is the same as here but not that very hard. But it only happens less than 5 times a year. I have experienced thunder and lighting too. Bad thing here is that it when it rains, there would be flood in areas that does not have proper drainage since rain only comes before and after winter.

@irent23 how high is the flood and how long before it goes down? have you experienced sandstorms, too?

@hereandthere the flooded area usually in places that does not have proper drainage, like recently the water goes above the knee but not here in downtown area. It will usually in the area that is sandy not asphalted. Yes, I have experienced sandstorm. If it is windy here that's the time the sand will fly here and there just like your username =) and sometimes you thought that there's fog around, nope it is not. It was the dust roaming around the sky.. hehe =) By the way, from where are you in the Philippines?
