Silent break up

Before it started I knew, it’s not a date of a couple but the date of a hearing. I also knew the decision but still like a real optimist, I entered. With scared heart beating rapidly, I tried to look composed. After initial pleasantries, we headed to one of my choice restaurant. I had heard that before the execution they ask you for your last favorite meal. I was out of luck to find out that we were too early, so we simply moved to some other place. We ordered food and for smoother start, she shown me her latest art. I really liked it but my body was too busy controlling stress of upcoming tornado, resulting in failure of secreting adequate enzymes of joy! After light dinner, it was time for some dessert, we ordered her favorite Gulab Jamun with Rabdi. I had heard, bitter sorrows go well with sweet. I guess keeping that in our mind THE CONVERSATION started. Obviously, the words were weighed before uttered, eyes were rolled, hands were waving, and legs were trembling. Out of nowhere, I gathered courage to make it work and converse it out, but alas.... I guess it was too late. Decisions were carved in the stone. It’s been almost two and a half year knowing her (?unknowing her?!), I was just holding up to it while, she was busy in finding reasons for an end. Nothing or no one to be blamed, I guess the effect of cupids arrow has diminished and I simply learnt "Relationships come with an expiry date".

This is the cruel truth for a lot of people. But in the end, life goes on and people and circumstances may change. Love is addictive though. Letting go and moving on is easier said than done. But do we have a choice?

I have seen a lot of people suffering after break up, and there is no one to be blamed. Its not about who left whom, the love left them.

This was really good. I'm not talking about the end of your relationship( it may be fact or fiction?) But your words got through to me.

Hey thank you for the concern and kind words. However, it was not my story, just an imagination.
