Yes, tomorrow morning at 11:30 I will know more about the state of my cataracts, according to that specialist I am seeing.
Personally I think they are ready for surgery but he might be of a different opinion. My own eye doctor said that they were ready and I know myself that my vision is getting worse and worse.
I am kind of nervous about the whole thing.

@marlina Yes, even my 2 church mates who went through cataract surgery did not feel any pain and no complication either. They just followed the doctor's advice. And you know both these old women were so nervous and almost backed out but we encouraged them and they were happy they had the surgery for they can now see well although both of them were already old, one is already 77 and the other is 70.

I hope you get the news that you want and I think in terms of surgeries, cataracts are among the easiest to go through and recover from.

It is the easiest surgery I ever had--it is fast and you are walking out in a half hour. I had both eyes done--2 separate operations and very quickly--no, not immediately--I saw the improvement with my sight.
Don't hesitate--go for it!!

Thanks for your input @GreatMartin, Tomorrow the doc will tell me if they are ready or if I have to wait a while longer. I will go for it.

Good luck, I know alot of people that have had that done and have pretty good vision compared to what they had before.

well, as you have said, 'personally', but doctors are more specific and scientific

I had eye problems two times. When the doctor said i had a mild cataract in my eye. I panicked. But till now, by the grace of God my vision is not having problems. I'm very scared to go to the eye doctor. If your vision is getting blur, Don't panic, Pray to God to give you strength during those times. I currently got red eyes and my treating is still going on with the doctor. I have to go for my appointment after ten days. But my vision has improved after two months of treatment.

@marlina, it's the way you take it! It's more than obvious and natural to feel nervous. So whatever the thought which is coming, just let that be!
Pondering and digging deep into this thought will only make you feel nervous. During these times, stability of your mind is most critical.
I have two examples from my family.
First one is my grandmother, after undergoing a 6 hours surgery to insert a metal to support her back, she started walking within 15 days of surgery. So, that's what I term willpower. And note that she was nervous before surgery too!
Next one, a case of Cataract. My uncle, much younger in age than my grandmother. His nervousness caused trouble to the doctors doing the surgery. His blood pressure would go up, cause he took it to his heart and got scared of it. Doctors literally had to stop the surgery!
Why did I share? To let you choose what path you're going to take? Hope it will give you a clear thought! :)

I watched my mother and my husband both go through cataract surgery. In both cases, the doctors had to wait quite a while until the cataracts were more than ready to be removed. They both came through their surgery with no problems whatsoever. I hope that's the case with you, as well!
