Twin Bath Tubs – Manchester

These unusual twin baths are in a honeymoon suite in a hotel (St. John’s Hotel) Manchester, which I visited when attending a friend’s wedding there. I helped carry the happy couple’s luggage to the room. It seems quite an odd arrangement even for a couple who are obviously quite intimate with one another – a half-way point between sharing a bath and bathing separately.

@miniam being a hotel it is something a couple would only use during their stay

@miniam our bathroom would be too small for it - we just have a shower now as my mum couldn't cope with getting in or out of the tub

That is strange...if it is seen in a honeymoon suite. Lol
I wonder if all their rooms tub are like that? Or their is also one that is shared? Maybe they did that for some couple who choose not to batch sharing a single tub, they say for hygenic purposes.. maybe for some.

@wiLLmaH yes, this is the actual honeymoon suite a couple were using after a wedding I attended - I helped take up some of their luggage and the presents from guests at the reception - the wedding and reception were held in the same hotel

the hotel looks quite old fashioned so it probably has an Edwardian origin

We have twin tubs up at the Salt and Pepper Hot Springs up near McCall. Haven't been up there in years.

that's funny, it's ok to look, but not be in the same tub!

That is unusual and twin sinks also. I can't even think how twin tubs fit into a honeymoon suite.
