Has there been better writers on tigers than Jim Corbett?

In 1944, great hunter Jim Corbett wrote maneaters of kumayun. In 1948 he wrote a great book on tigers called The Maneaters of Rudraprayag. In 1953 he wrote The Jungle Lore.
He also wrote the Temple Tigers. Those who had read the books realize that probably Jim Corbett had been the best writer of tiger stories which were real life stories.
In India Satyajit Ray, Leela Majumdar and many other writers had also written about man-eater tigers. But they are catered to the interest children.
Jim Corbett had been the best.
