Did you have a nightmare?

I rarely got a nightmare and last night was really unforgettable for me. I saw my older sister lying inside a coffin. It was too shocking and I dislike what I saw. The sight of my older sister reminds me of what my dad looked like when he was returned to us already inside a coffin. I felt like something pinched hard my heart.
I hope nightmares do not occur at all. It gives me fright. What about you?

I don't have nightmares very often. When I do have nightmares, they tend to be about realistic scenarios. I never dream about fantasy nightmares. They are usually about someone hurting me or betraying me. I guess that's a real-life fear of mine, so that makes sense.

@annierose I think everyone has been badly hurt or betrayed at some point in their life. I have been hurt in the past. I just find those to be more fearful than anything because they could really happen.

@lexinonomous I know what you mean about the realistic situations. I had a dream once while I was still in high school and it was about me getting replaced in my rugby team. I guess our realistic fears come to life within our nightmares and it's not always about monsters.

@Lucky15 I am very scared of snakes too. What did the snakes do in your dream?

Fortunately I don't have nightmares very often, but sometimes I dream about being trapped inside a burning house. Another time I had a nightmare about snakes and huge spiders.

@annierose Over the years I have had severel nightmares about fire, but I am not sure why. I haven't been involved in a fire. The nightmare about snakes and spiders was also very scary. The entire wall was covered with spiders

@Porcospino Have you asked other people about it? Perhals they can give you a good explanation behind those nightmares. Maybe those nightmares want to give you a message? Do you think so?

It is same here. Once I can remember something from my sleep, it really does not happen at all in real. By the way, it is morning here. I had a great sleep. How about you?

@JESSY3236 Maybe it is better to expect it so it will not happen. I think we got nightmares when we do not expect it.

@annierose I had a good night last night. I thought I would have nightmares after watching a scary movie a days ago, but I haven't.

It could be so frightening! You should pray for your sister's safety. Hope you won't have it again.

@annierose yes, and there is a superstition in our country that if you dreamt that somebody passed away you should not tell it to anybody yet, but after you had bitten a wood! ha ha ha! I do it just for the sake of doing it. I also pray for it not to happen.

@annierose dreams that makes me anxious to know that it could really happen. I used the word unsettling, because I never wake up with sweat and fear like nightmares. It just worries me that it can happen in real life.

I used to have nightmares when I was a kid, but now, not anymore. I do have bad dreams, but not that terrible so I won't call them "nightmares". Like a few days ago, I dreamed that I lost my credit card lol. When I woke up, I was so relieved that it was just a dream. Maybe I think about money too much.
That was a terrible nightmare. What happened to your dad, if you don't mind my asking? :(

I'm sorry you had a bad nightmare like that. I hope it doesn't come about. I get nightmares, but not often.
