Diys are probably my favourite way to keep myself engaged and productive. They are fun, eco friendly, light on the pocket and more importantly , I love the way they render great character to our homes and other personal spaces. I primarily love making home decor, greeting cards and now I'm currently trying to make myself a junk journal(the idea for which I got after reading about junk journals here on myLot.) And I'm really excited about it.
How many of you enjoy DIYS? Kindly share your thoughts and ideas here!! Thanks!

Oh, I love to do things DIY but I don't have the time to do everything DIY, unfortunately. I started off by trying to avoid ready-made sauces (ie curry, pasta etc) and do things from scratch since most of them are really simple, especially if you have a food processor at home. This went on until I had a baby and I can say that he rarely have to eat something from a packet - even his baby rice was made from scratch! Anyway, I am now into DIY skincare (ie nail cream, lotion) and I like how easy it is to do these things.

Wow! How do you make body lotion! I have been wanting to shift to DIY skin care since a long time and I got my mother to make some home made bathing powder for me. Now I'm making a coffee scrub for myself. Kindly share the lotion recipe! I would really love to know! :)

@Curlybobby Oh got the recipe from the shea butter supplier. I bought the raw shea butter from Amazon and got an email with a PDF of various body butter recipes. It is a little bit oily for my liking and I don't use it these days especially since it is summer. But it is basically shea butter, beeswax, jojoba oil and a few drops of lavender oil. So you have to melt beeswax, shea and jojoba together and wait for it to cool down. When it is cool enough, you have to whip it using a hand mixer and then add a few drops of your choice of essential oil.
