Are you leaving, too?
I'm leaving for Chicago this Friday. We will return Tuesday.
My younger son and fiancé are leaving for a snorkeling trip to Mexico in August.
My older son, pictured here with our princess, is leaving for the Bahamas next week, and then will be traveling to London, England the first week of July.
My grandson will return to all day camp for the summer.
My granddaughter will fly to Maine for her second year of an 8 week summer camp.
We are planning a few trips if anyone is around to babysit Doodles.
Would you be willing to live in my house and babysit Doodles?

Nope. I decided to build up my saving account instead. I'll get into a pattern of travel next year, after the account is full.

@ElizabethWallace I don't blame you at all. Everyone should have a substantial savings, especially before they decide to go traipsing around the world, without a pot to p*ss in. So many charge their vacations and have to pay them off for years.

@DianneN I want to see a number big enough that I would have no problem is the landlord decided to sell this house out from under me. That has happened twice so far.

What a very dear and sweet picture of your son and granddaughter. That is so precious, you can see the close bond that they share.
I'd love to come and Doodle-sit for you, but work will be calling.
Who will Doodle-sit this weekend while you go away?

@Juliaacv It runs in our family, too. I was always Daddy's little girl, even when I married and had two children of my own. Lol! The kids are both so little that they still love their mommy and daddy. I'm sure it will continue, although that girl is giving them a run for their money! My grandson is a sweet, gentle soul.

Thank you. She is truly daddy's little girl, although she ran to me first for hugs and kisses. That made my heart explode.
Doodles will be watched by his daddy, who is moving in for the duration. He will still work, play with his other kitties, and visit their mommy in between feeding and taking Doodles outside. It's his cat who is cramping our style, lol, although we love him to bits.

Ha Ha! I don't think I will move into your house to babysit Doodles ... although it would make it easy to visit our daughter in Hastings at the same time! LOL We are going up to the Napa Valley to visit our daughter who lives there and enjoy a long weekend in a few weeks. We just had our daughter from Delaware and her family spend a week with us here in Laguna. The daughter from Hastings will be here with her family in July. Our daughters and their families like to come stay with us ... we are their vacation resort! LOL
