I have heard that they do age in human years 7 for every one year but I have never really justified it so with that being said my dog would be his birthday is in Jan 3rd so he would be 105 years old being he's almost 14 years old and I heard that if they are well loved and they get a lot of exercise they can live to a ripe old age I kind of wondered if you could say that for a cat What's everybody else's opinion? Is this just a saying or is it actually true?

I used to think our cats would live up toward 18 years old. Our last two only made it to maybe 13 and 14. Cancer got the both of them. I worry about our Sally pup. She is very active when she is outside. I worry that she goes so wacky over the ball and catching it that she is aging herself quickly.

I think they age faster for sure, they seem to mature younger and such
