Does the Teflon coating on the non-stick cookware cause health hazards? I read that when the cookware is heated, it releases harmful fumes and few substances leaches in to the food which may cause cancer. Is it better to switch to stainless steel or cast iron cookware instead? what do you think?

the teflon is unhealthy and the United States is phasing it out by 2017 I think I heard. I use cast iron and the new stuff they have come up with. I can't remember what they call it. I also have some Orgreenic cookware which is also safe.
