Tomorrow is the day our tv will be turned off as we are moving from the condo to a house. We have been working so hard all week and it is almost over. The past two times we moved, from Pennsylvania in the Pocono Mountains, my husband stepped off a chair and missed and screwed up his knee again. I say again as he has had 5 or 6 operations on them already. This time he put up with the pain as he wanted to move to Florida the worst way and had it in his head that nothing was going to ruin it. I don't know how he did it but he is the most stubborn person I have ever seen and says he can tolerate a lot of pain. Last year when we moved from one location in Florida to another, he fell with a lot of things in his hands and landed flat on his back and broke a couple of ribs. I am counting the hours and I don't want to say anything about it to him, I am just holding my breath. He has been working non stop this week to get all the smaller things to the house as the movers are coming tomorrow for the big stuff. I have helped a lot and packed up things in the condo and he takes it over to the house. It is only 2 miles away which makes it very convenient. When I went there before, I was shocked to see how much stuff is there and even though we are getting close to being finished, I do not look forward to unpacking.

Yeah, the next step in the moving process. Never fun because you or at least I never know where the new place is going to be for that item. Everything eventually finds a home though. I hope everything goes well with this move and nothing happens to your husband to cause any health issues.

@just4him At least I am lucky as my husband puts all the dishes and pots and pans away as he does the cooking and knows where he wants them. I don't say a thing as it is one less thing for me to do.

@just4him I know what you mean although I never minded doing dishes. One of my favorite chores. I know that sounds weird but you should know by now I am weird.

Several times we moved just a few miles and, as my husband was working, I used to stuff my little hatchback with oddments and take them over. Hope the move goes well.

Thank you @JudyEv. I don't even know how many trips we did this week going back and forth. we are only moving 2 miles away so it does make things easy.

I don't know why but the unpacking seems to be the hardest and longest part of the unpacking to do. I don't plan on moving again as I am to old to be doing that like I used to. Hope everything turns out okay for you.
