Transgender or Gay

I'm a little confused about transgender and gay. Correct me if I'm wrong. Transgender is when a girl is born with female organs but feels deeply inside that she is male. She is very unhappy and sad with being a girl. She acts more like a boy and wants to wear boys clothing. Vise versa for a boy.
A gay female feels like a woman but is attracted sexually to females rather than men. Vice versa for gay males.
That is my understanding. Am I right?

@RubyHawk It can still be very difficult for them.

@JamesHxstatic It must still be very difficult but at least people are coming out and talking about it when it used to be hidden. We've come a long way.

Yes, that is my understanding too! I have never met anyone transgender but I've watched YouTube gurus some opening up and it sounds very hard to be in their position!

I thought Transgender applied primarily to people who have actually had surgical operations or are in transition to alter their genders rather than just those who feel they would be more comfortable with the opposite gender to that which they have been designated - i'm probably wrong on this

I hope I'm wrong, but, I'm beginning to fear that God is developing a terrible case of dementia. For the past thirty oth years, especially, He's been creating humans of the wrong gender in the right body or is it the right gender in the wrong body?.... Either that of the world has gone completely nuts! I hope it doesn't get to the point where He's had enough of the craziness and decides to 'clean house'. If He does, we're gonna be in a'heap'o trouble'.

@RubyHawk I'm sure this is true. For instance, hermaphrodites are real in as much as there are twins born joined at the hip, chest, head and what have you. There is a psychological phenomenon that causes some people to engage in pedophilia or in attraction to people of their own gender. Homosexuality and worship of the body were a popular culture in ancient Greece. Now, we're seeing the same gaining popularity in today's society and that only opens the door of opportunity for the truly deviant and evil predators.

@Wordly1 I don't believe that's true, I think people are becoming more tolerate of their fellow man and understand that we are all different in one way or another. When that is true in every sense of the word, I believe we will have world peace.

"A gay female feels like a woman but is attracted sexually to females rather than men. Vice versa for gay males. " I won't respond to the definition of a transgender person as they should speak for themselves. As a gay person let me tell you that a gay female DOESN'T feel like a woman--she is a woman just as a gay man DOESN'T feel like a man--he is a man!!
