Eating alone, does this mean being lonely.
there are times when I have to eat alone.Do I feel lonely.
For me I think that I do.I was thinking many here do eat alone and like to hear from them if they feel lonely
What is your take on this?
The photo is mine. This was in one of the museum in Italy.
I loved this one.

I enjoy eating with others, particularly family, but otherwise I don't mind eating alone either. I rarely feel lonely - in fact there are certain people that I have to see everyday that I wish would leave me alone - but the good thing is I never have to eat with them. My sister in law would love this painting - it looks very much like her dog!!

I do feel lonely when I eat alone. Maybe that is one of the reasons why I forget to eat until I am very hungry when Leticia has not come.
I also like to be surrounded by friends and family so I invite often

I'm a happy loner. I've been eating alone for more than 5 years now and I've been enjoying it.

hi @amadeo I end up twice a week here in the retirerment center eating alone
Both my table mates are off to something called program. So I eat a lone and i
do feel lonely too sometimes it does not bother me too much but most times I miss not
having someone to talk to.

Sometimes. But at times I feel lonely and yet I seem never to be alone much. Does that make sense?

I have eaten alone most of my adult life and the majority of vacation trips I have taken have been solo. I must love my own company.

I used to go out to lunch by myself and always enjoyed it. Of course I would bring a book.

I don't feel lonely. Eating alone is something I prefer as I'm not into "dinner conversation" and such. But I eat together with my daughters when possible because it makes them happy.

Sometimes I do eat alone if my husband is working real late which does happen with the way his work schedule is. On those days when I eat alone, I do feel a bit lonely.

I think the last time I ate alone was in 1997. I lived alone for 16 years between marriages and eating alone was not a problem - I could eat what I wanted, when I wanted.

no sir, i don't feel lonely eatin' 'lone. bein' by myself's most always my preference anyhow. that bein' said, 'tis great times when there's other folks 'round to share'n conversation 'n a nicely prepared meal.

I often crave my own company so I seldom feel anything akin to actual loneliness. I'm lucky in that respect, I think.
