~Take Some Responsibility!~

I have told this girl many times that she can go out and I don't care BUT she HAS to be home at some point to make sure she takes care of her pets. What happens today? She is nowhere to be found and the kids and I had to feed, water and let her pets outside. That is not OUR responsibility. I told her tonight if she cannot take care of them then she needs to find another home for them. I am sick of being responsible for her animals! She is on very thin ice. She said earlier she's going to look for somewhere else to go... I think that is the best thing at this point.

@marlina She's talking with her aunt about moving in with her but we won't put anyone on the street-and especially not family.

@jstory07 I could not do that either. She has a dog and a cat.

is it your daughter? a room mate? most young people think only of a pet as a thing only to have when they want it. very childish and selfish.

@bunnybon7 She is my husband's second cousin. Yes she is very childish and very selfish, and we are getting sick of it.

Seems she is irresponsible. I hope everything is fine despite of her attitudes.

I think If I was you, I would circle some possibilities for her...make some calls on her behalf the more you can "help" with the process, the better it will be.

I have to agree with you. It's not your responsibility to feed her preys. You already have quite a bit on your plate to deal with. You don't need to deal with pets that are her responsibilities.

If you informed here about the pet care and she refuses then it's best that they be placed in someone's else's care. I hope everything turns out alright.

I wonder what would happen if you just CHOSE to stop feeding that cat. You think that might come into her senses? you said it yourself, you're tired of feeding that cat, maybe she needs to learn it the hard way.

The really doesn't think of anyone but herself does she? I feel sorry for her poor pets, thankfully you looked after them.

@Juliaacv Nope, she only thinks of herself and it's getting on my very last nerve. I'm glad they have us to make sure they are taken care of.

@BlissfullySilent Exactly, apparently she doesn't realize this. She doesn't belong having animals if she cannot take care of them.

You are such a good person for letting her stay. I am glad that she realizes that she needs to find somewhere else to live. It is not fair that she burdens you with the care of her pets.

She has really been taking advantage of your goodness. It sounds like she has worn out her welcome by a long shot.

It is difficult to accept other people at out house. But it is much worse when we also have to accept someone elseĀ“s pets.

I didn't know you had taken in her pets as well as her. That is totally unacceptable for her to expect you to look after them - the sooner she finds somewhere else the better.

She does sound like she's an extra child to have at your place. Hope things get better with her.
