Annoyances

I just had two potential threats to my income and my computer. One was the Microsoft alert that won't allow you to cancel it out unless you reboot and the other was from flash drive just now.
I know flash drive is automatic with Chrome so it is a threat that would have had my anti-virus sending out alarm pulses about blocked threats.
Have you seen these in the last few minutes or today?
These kinds of annoyances I can do without.
Thanks for reading.

It seems like every time I'm here that "flash" thing pops up. I have several antivirus' plugins etc and one that blocks it right out of the gate. It's still really annoying.
I am not sure WHY it keeps doing that but I am glad I am not the only one seeing / dealing with it.

@ScribbledAdNauseum I doubt that's the case as I've had that problem several times and this was the first time when I was here. So I don't think it was a site problem.

I am a little worried about being on MyLot. I get alerts when on here and that is unsettling. It isolates the threat and then shuts down the site. Thankfully I can open it again.

@Susan2015 it has happened a few times. Freaks me out a little when it happens.

myLot is good, but every once in a while outside threats will come on no matter what you're doing. I've had that threat come up several times. The first time scared me and I actually called the number. It's a SCAM, so the only thing you can do is Ctrl, Alt, Delete and reboot. Everything will be fine.

oh, i don't know anything about that, but what usually appears in the net book is "unresponsive script" and "stop the plugin".

@ridingbet We all need them and they come with the different programs already. It's when we get those kinds of notices asking for a download that it's not usual and will most likely result in viruses and malwares on our computers and nobody wants that.

I haven't come across any of these annoyances. I have had errors come up on my computer that prevented me from working, but nothing that you've listed. I'm sorry you're having to deal with that. It's frustrating not being able to do what you need to do. -_-

@lexinonomous The Microsoft alert tells you to call a number. Don't do it. Just reboot.

@just4him Gotcha! I won't call any sort of number if it appears.

I do not use chrome. I have had some alerts when trying to log in places in the past and it can be very disturbing.

I'm glad you didn't. I had two in such a short time, and that never happened before - so close together that is. I've seen both of those before, but always at much different times from each other.

I get the flash drive one at least once a day @just4him and it's ticking me off.

You don't have to reboot. Just go to task manager and get rid of the browser.
