What Perks you Up?

There are things or events that can make a person lively or happy. Just like this afternoon while it was raining, I lay down in bed with the windows open and letting the nice scent of the rain in.
Later, another scent wafted in the air. It was the nice scent of roasted coffee beans. Maybe someone from near us is roasting coffee beans. It smelled so good. I knew it was coffee being roasted because years ago we used to roast our own coffee beans after they were harvested from our coffee trees.
Such nice scents can lift up my mood. How about you? What simple things lift your mood?

Music plays a huge role in lifting my mood. I try to listen to music that will help me get through whatever it is that's bothering me at the moment. If I'm sad, I'll listen to encouraging sad music. I'm not sure if that makes sense, but it works for me.

@transcendent I would suggest listening to music like this:
