We would always make fun with others by our language. Some of them are just so funny and some of it is just so insulting. Sometimes, the same thing has different meaning in different culture as well. That's why something funny can turned into something really bad to some others people but for some , it is just a joke. at the same time, people will response to joke differently. Some can take not even one joke towards them and some would just never mind about those words but just keep on laughing as well. Well, if someone said something like that in the question posted in this discussion. What will be your response? Share with us ?

Just don't take a heart when you are hearing this from other people, consider it as a joke, especially when your fellas saying this to you, except if you didn't know the person, a stranger, you can consider it as insulting. I have a friend that look like this condition, but we are a friend, so he doesn't take a heart, and just consider it as jokes only

ha ha . I think just treat it as a joke and don't get angry with that if it is only from a friend whose funny. Just think he is just like a Mr.Bean would be ok.

I would assume that they were referring to the famous meme and were saying I looked as if I had down syndrome. I'd honestly assume that they were being cruel. I don't know why, but someone telling me I look like a potato just doesn't sound good. I don't want to look like a potato, ha ha.

@wildlittlefan Wow, you're right! Everyone is going to have a different response depending on what's offensive in their country or area.

@lexinonomous Yes, sometimes age is also an issue as well. a kid, a teenage, an adult and a senior citizen may react differently as well.

I'd laugh and tell them to get their vision checked if I'm a potato, I'm a dang good one, like a baked potato or delicious French fries :) sometimes you just have to laugh off the insults, don't let them get to you

I HAVE been told I look like a potato. My friend (he was half Indian and half Anglo) told me I was boring looking and called me "potato face." I didn't care for it, but didn't think much about it. It was in High School.

I'll burst into laughter At least, the Potato is sweet, so I would interpret that the person says my life is a sweet one #Perception

It depends on who the person is and what kind of relationship and rapport I share with that person.
