Whenever I go to a store and see just sections full of chocolates, candies, anything and everything sugar related, I get the feeling of disgust. I just can't stand sweets it makes me think of a friend who used to eat sweets and his teeth got so worse. He cried when the dentist cleaned his teeth, it was very painful. Knowing myself it's all or nothing when I start eating good sweets I can never stop it used to be like that. I very much avoid chocolate, candies..... I refuse to have my teeth damaged.

Me too! I don't have that much of a sweet tooth (rarely eat dessert). But I do keep dark chocolate in the fridge.

Well that is wonderful that you are able to avoid sugars so well. I love sweets so it is very hard for me to avoid it. I crave it very often. I went an entire month without it and it took 25 days I think it was to stop craving it. Lately I have eaten to many sweets due to attending parties etc but I need to avoid it again it isn't good to eat it all the time.

That's true...sweets are really tempting.. Sugar is unhealthy so we have to regulate its intake...I have shifted from pizza and burgers to more healthy diets.hehe

Healthy diets is the way to go. Do you ever have days specifically just eating food you crave? I read an article about someone's diet includes 2 days in which she eats junk food. The idea behind it is you don't deprive your body from unnecessary food.

@meowch I always have those days that I feel I just need to junk my body up...especially on Fridays when I have my pals over.

It a good habit to avoid all kinds of candies. I usually only buy small chocolates; two or three at the most every two or three days.

Just over a year ago I quit engaging in all that sugar. I do indulge a little but not much. I need my health. I think the doctors that gripe about folks being obese should get in there and say something about all the bad choices that are right in your face in the grocery store.

That's great! More people should make the same choice. Of course, maybe your friend could have brushed his teeth better? My problem was, I brushed twice a day but I couldn't do it very well because my teeth are crowded. So they'll need replacement eventually.

Twice a day is better actually. Nowadays I brush after I eat which is way too often.

I agree, sweets can ruin your teeth and can cause diabetes too. I don't like sweets too for these reasons. I only like dark(bitter) chocolate with less sugar.

That is good to see the harm that sugar has on your teeth and you avoid them. Also sugar is the cause of tooth decay and cavities.
