Family Is Not Always Blood

I come across with this quote in the internet which I can actually relate to. Based on my life's experiences, I believe that its is true. Family is not always blood. Family is composed of people who want you in their lives and open their doors to you anytime. These are the kinds of people who do not come only during occasions but rather willing to share to carry your own cross in life. Do you have the same sentiment?

I've been blessed with two elder brothers who care and love me despite of their flaws. I've never experience people who could open their lives to me and be my friend. Sometimes I envy my mom who seemed approachable by a lot of people. Making her popular with lots of friends.

Yes I do believe you are truly blessed with those two elder brothers. I hope that the relationship stays that way.

How very true I have a couple of good friends that are closer to me than some of my relatives.

I also have a lot of friends who are more than siblings for me.

@cherigucchi Isn't it wonderful you can go to those certain friends and talk about anything.

I share the same sentiment. Family are the people who share your happiness and sorrows. Blood in, blood out.

I absolutely agree. I have relatives, and then I have family. They're not all the same people.

Agree. If you're a member of covenanted communities, people are closer to their community brothers and sisters than their real blood siblings.

Though I haven't personally experienced it I believe that a family doesn't need to be related by blood. It's the close knit relationship that counts.
