Welcome to this weekend’s Suddendeath poetry challenge, grumpy! Anyways, rules are as follows, write a poem in any style using the five words that I give you. Write it in one sitting or in under an hour (only to quash your inner editor, rules are loose there). Add it here, OR link in a comment so we can enjoy each other’s poems. The words can be in any plurality or tense. Today’s words are sad, blue, rough, tired, low. My entry is below: ------------------------------------------------------- So much effort gone and lost, because of a morning grump Sorry I took my mood out on you, I feel like such a chump. Sad I have been, as I watched things break without knowing how to fix Doesn’t help when morning grumpies I stupidly threw in the mix. Blue do I feel but not the kind that’s calm, oh no this is low. Despite my rude morning words, I do love you you know. I didn’t sleep well and had a rough night and needed my cup of tea, and I’m sorry that my tired, silly little self was grumpy you see!
