Hi!! I'm a big fan of anime and have watched it on tv, since I was a little kid. I loved Sailor Moon, Inuyasha, Ghost fighter , Akazukin Chaha (The red riding hood one) I want to catch up on modern ones. Know anything good? Note: Shonen is good but I prefer animes like "Death Note and Code Geass" ones with lots of philosophical undertones in it :)

You may enjoy Psycho Pass. It's set in the future, but the culture is not overly futuristic. The premise is that there is a system now in place (sybil system) that can measure what's known as your crime co-efficient and if it's too high mark you as a latent criminal. Basically someone who has the potential to commit a crime but hasn't yet. The show follows a group of enforcers (basically the police) and their latent criminal partners as they follow up on several cases that are connected and being orchestrated by a criminal mastermind. To me, the most interested part of the series was finding out how the sybil system worked. It has 2 seasons and I believe both of them are dubbed.

Ooh dystopian future, the premise is similar to the movie Minority Report It makes you think that if you can predict a person is about to do a crime and stop them before they do it. Is the person guilty or innocent? Will Check thank you

Jojo's Bizaare adventure, It's source material is written in the 1970's so when it is adapted into Anime, There is enough material to make an anime so there is no need to make fillers. It is fast paced with no fillers and the visuals are beautiful.

@Dramista part 4 is set in the 90's so it will be filled with 90's nostalgia. Another Anime I watch now is Phoenix Wright: Ace attorney, It is based from a video game. It is an anime about a defense attorney. I am still frustrated with the lack of news about Attack on Titan season 2. I am also watching the New sequel of Lupin. It cant believe there is a new Lupin Anime in 2015. Dragonball Super is also awesome. It is a sequel of Dragonball Z and it is created to delete Dragonball GT out of existence.

Yeah I know the show, I've been watching it these couple of weeks I'm finishing Stardust crusaders right now :) Oh and I love the wacky randomness of the show. Reminds me of the 90's

I still watch a lot of the older animes since I grew up with them, but lately I have been watching Fairy Tale, Sailor Moon Crystal, Dragonball Super. I have given up on Naruto until they end it. I'm tired of seeing all the fillers.

Yeah I like the background story on AOT :), Still I hate Eren the main characters, he's too much of a wimp for me (Like most shonen protaganists)

Agree AOT is a pretty popular show and I loved the artwork and pacing of it. The only thing I didn't like was the wimpy main character "Eren" :(. Haven't seen parasyte but I've heard that it is pretty "disturbing"

For me one of the best animes is Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood . Very good. There are battles and alchemy. It's fun though concerns serious issues and some episodes are quite heavy. Now I would say even a little scared me watching it again with these strange creatures had. Another anime I remember and it was interesting was D.Gray-man . Again scary and weird creatures but worth watching
