Should Cricket players get paid even if they dont perform?

This has been a very recent discussion. Should they be paid even if they score ducks or does not take any wickets. To me, they should not be paid. Cricket is a professional game and in any profession, perform and get paid. There is a negative side to it. Players might get demotivated and lose their fire.anyways, Please drop in ur feelings on this.cheers!

The board should bring a policy to deduct the match fees if the players do not perform well in the matches. They should place a ban players endorsing products.

well, i think banning players from endorsing products is a little too harsh. I mean thats like paying price for something they dint do. I feel endorsing products ia llright as long as its only endorsing and does not affect the attitude of the players.Again, its not easy to decide attitude. Anyways good post. Cheers

i think they should be paid according to their performance.......after 91 runs should they expect a huge money????

well...lets leave the numbers to the selectors, but as u said, get paid for what they do is quite reasonable.

well, the idea is still the same. Getting fined is as good as reducing the pay. glad i have some support:)
