Take real food and mash it up. Applesauce, mashed bananas, any soft food that can be mashed is what I fed my children. I did not feed them "baby food" from jars.

Rice is too hard for baby, we cook porridge, add some vegetables like beans, potato, also fresh meat or fish. Moringa leaves also good lo. Too much baby can food is not good do prefer fresh, banana papaya can be used, more soft lo. Try different things and do more research lo

@stephjoy too much instant baby food is not good, far from TV too near can harm the eye and development of the brain, pure honey for the cleansing of the mouth too

We give nicely mashed cooked rice with veggies which can be mashed like potatoes, tomatoes, carrot and beetroot. We also give rice with yellow lentils for protein. We add ghee (clarified butter) for strong bones. We also make porridge out of rice.We coarsely grind the washed rice, boil it in milk or water, add sugar or salt to taste. we can add boiled and mashed greens (green leaf vegetable like spinach) to it.

Give him food like porridge, mashed bannanas.make sure whatever you give him is soft so that baby can easily eat it and don't give him food that is hard..and if you want to give rice to him then make sure it is overcooked that is completely mashed up while cooking
