A bit of rain

I woke up to grey and foggy skies. I'm not sure if it's still raining, but it rained quite a bit earlier. Friends on Facebook are complaining that their cookouts have been rained out. Everyone is going to have to find something else to do in my area. As for me, I'll be downstairs in the laundry room. Not exciting but I'll be so happy when it's done! Needless to say, it's very humid but it's not as hot so it's comfortable in here even with the fan off (I'm still cleaning it). And it's time to grab a new book to read out of my library book bag. I hope I find something as good as the last one. I'll need something to keep my mind occupied while the clothes are washing and drying! I can imagine you would need something to do if you have to sit and wait for your laundry. Luckily I have a washer and dryer although I don't use the dryer much. Mostly the sun and wind do my drying for me.

My mother always used air and sun to dry our clothes and it was wonderful. Those were the days when life was simpler.

@CRK109 That's true. I also have a line under the verandah where I can hang clothes if I want to.

Its not a holiday for us today, but it was a perfect day, no humidity and just the right temperature. But....I am still doing the same thing you did, a load of laundry is in the washer now and I'll have to move it into the dryer in a few minutes. What fun!
