Dinner with Friends

We went to the Sweet Tomato today to have dinner with family and friends. It was a lovely day to be out and we hadn't seen these old friends for quiet awhile. The food was good and we lingered an hour after dinner catching up. Traffic wasn't near as bad as we feared, people were likely out on the lakes and rivers enjoying the holiday. As we passed the Chattahoochee river I saw many canoes being paddled up and down the river, people were in swimming and I'm sure picnicking along the river. Now we are pooped, my better half is watching sports on the TV and here I am Myloting. I rested on the deck and called my sister when we got home. She had some tiny precancers on her face and her doctor prescribed cancer removal cream to use rather than freezing the places off. She said her face was raw meat. I told her to go straight to the dermatologist. I hope she will in the morning. My dermatologist prescribed it for me once and had to do surgery to close up the wound. I will never use it again. Have any of you ever used cancer removal cream?

No I haven't used this but I'll be careful if I ever have to now. Thanks for the warning. I need to get some hard skin on my nose seen to in case it is skin cancer.

@RubyHawk You're scaring me! I'll make the appointment tomorrow. I've been meaning to for ages.

@JudyEv You should, I had one or more removed that I hadn't even noticed.

Yes, you should. I had to have half my nose removed and they built it back with skin off my cheek. It didn't even leave a scar. I try to go every six months to the dermatologist. I've had many small places on my face frozen off.

My elderly aunt uses it. She has sores that keep appearing on her legs mainly.

@RubyHawk She had struggled with it for years. There are too many to cut out, some of the larger ones have been cut out but healing is a big problem.

That must be painful. I had rather they freeze or cut them out. I hope the cream works for her.

My husband was prescribed it, but stopped after one treatment - it was far too strong.

He might be lucky he did. I didn't use it long and it ate a hole out of my throat, also a smaller one that only required cleaning out and a couple of stitches.

I doubt that she called the doctor, but she said it wasn't stinging as much so maybe it will heal, if it doesn't get better, she will have to go get something done for her.

The cream is very expensive. Maybe it's good for some people, but not for me.

No. I've never had precancer on my face. I hope your sister is able to get the help she needs for her face.

She says her face isn't stinging as badly so I hope it's beginning to heal, I'm worried she might have scars.

The only treatment I've had is go have a couple of skin cancers cut off my back and arm. Both were done extremely well.

I've also had several cut off my hands and arms, they healed right up. I know I've had so many because I was in the sun a lot when I was young.
