Do You Accept that You're Old?

When I was a young and saw old people on the street, I was wondering what happen to my face when I grow old. Would it be ugly or still beautiful like when I was young? . My mom told me that I'm beautiful and I believe on her I hope you also believe on my mom. Anyway, now that I am 51 years old, going to 52 on June 8, I started to realize that we have to accept that we age and grow older each day in our life. So, what I want now is just to age gracefully. How about you? Photo was taken when I was 31 years old and was pregnant with my eldest daughter.

You are not old! Of course we change with the age, we cannot stop the time, but we can try to grow old gracefully, a nice smile and a happy face looks younger than a sad face.

Me too, I heard my body saying and reminding me that I am an "old woman" already.

I always wanted to be pretty. I didn't know that I was until I really had a good look at my picture I posted of myself in my Navy uniform yesterday. I've never seen myself as pretty or beautiful. No one told me I was.

You look very pretty. I personally do not worry about age. Looks and what not. My hair may be receding and getting some gray.So I will just shave it. That is usually what I do or just embrace it, wear the aging process like a badge of honor. As long as I stay healthy, aging does not bother me.

Yeah, you're right. Being healthy always is the most important rather than worrying about our age. Thanks crossbone27 for believing in my mom too.

You have to live one day at a time, I think there's no stopping us getting old. THis is part of life, my only mistake is that I didn't live my life enough. one day if i ever become rich, iwill travel accross the country and will enjoy myself before it becomes physically impossible to do so.

Anyone who tells me age is just a number,to their own.Im 44 and i feel my age sometimes in a good way, sometimes asking where the time went. Am l fine being 44? l dont want to be 20 anymore that`s for sure so l guess being 44 is ok.

It's a fact that we have to accept. We grow old and nobody here on earth doesn't grow old. Even plants and animals grow old. So, whether we like it or not, we have to like it. Yes, I accept that I am growing old. I am 50 now.

We have to accept the fact that we are getting older. I am almost 4 years older than you. But it´s only number to me. I tried to get older as graceful as I can. Eating healthy food and enough sleep.

My husband did that too. Everytime someone will ask him how old he is, he always subtract one year for his exact age.

Yes, I'm already old. I'm 53 and soon to be 54 this coming 6th of this month but I don't care if my age is already old as long as I can still kick, run, walk, smile, laugh and do everything I want to do, I'm happy with my age, getting older gracefully. I also believe your Mom that you're beautiful.
